I am currently working on upgrading my bathroom and the process has come along nicely, but I have also decided to replace the shower head and that has meant re-evaluating the entire renovation. The list of upgrades I have already done will result in a finish that everyone will absolutely love and it will have a more cozy feeling than before. The design aesthetic that I decided to take is really going well and I cannot wait to show it off. With a new shower head in mind, I have been asking friends and colleagues to make a short list of contenders to add to the room for that final beautiful touch.
There’s probably no one that likes a refreshing shower more than me and that is probably the main reason why I am adding a new shower head in the first place. I was done with looking for ways to repair a leaky shower and I just decided to go the extra mile and make the entire bathroom as new as possible in regards to my budget. With these improvements, I will be able to increase the market value of my home should I want to place it on the market.
From what I have been told, the bathroom is one of the more affordable ways to add a lot of value to your home without spending an arm and a leg. So, if you are someone that is deciding whether or not to sell your home, know that it only takes a few improvements that can exponentially re-value your home in a great way. Here are some project renovation ideas that take no time at all and only a few hundred dollars in investment to dramatically alter the look and feel of your home.
Cleaning the Grout
If you find that the grout in your shower needs cleaning, you are going to need to give it a deep cleanse in order to truly see a difference. If the problem is a bit more dire than you had expected, you also can consider changing the color, removing it completely and then re-doing the whole thing. In the end, you will absolutely love the finished result.
Changing Light Fixtures
If you want to update a bathroom and place it firmly in the 21st century, one of the best ways is by adding light fixtures to the room to make it more contemporary. I was amazed at how such small changes can totally transform a room.
Installing Low-Flow Toilets
Although this might be on the more expensive end of the bathroom renovation, it will pay off in the long run and you will be glad you made the decision to do it. You might want to check beforehand, however, as there may be local regulations that require things done in a certain way. Do the repairs now and you will notice that your water bill will significantly decrease each month and over the course of a year.
Applying Fresh Caulk
First, you will need a razor to remove the old grout. Next, the mildew underneath will need to be stripped away. Then, get a caulk gun and apply fresh seals to make your bathroom feel and look totally new.
